How Much to Order
Paver bedding takes about 1 inch of sand, and fill depends on the hole. One cubic yard covers:
324 sq ft
at 1 inch deep
162 sq ft
at 2 inches deep
81 sq ft
at 4 inches deep
For trenches, multiply length by width and depth in feet, then divide by 27 for cubic yards.

What sand goes under pavers?
Con sand, also called concrete sand. Its coarse, angular grains compact into a firm, level bed about an inch thick on top of your compacted base.
What is PG&E spec sand?
Sand that meets PG&E's requirements for bedding and backfilling around underground utility lines. Confirm the exact spec with your utility or inspector before you order.
Can I use fill sand for concrete?
No. Fill sand is for leveling and backfill. For mixing concrete or mortar, use con sand.
Is sand sold in bags?
Our sand is sold and delivered in bulk by the yard. Call for a delivered price, or ask about loading at the yard.
